Phoebe's Story

Hi, I’m Phoebe Jacobs—a 23-year-old author from a quiet village in Belgium, where I’ve been dreaming up stories for as long as I can remember.

I started off writing silly little tales as a kid, tapping away in Word documents long before I knew what plot structure was. As a teen, I graduated to Wattpad, where I shared early stories with a small but supportive community. One of those projects would eventually become my debut novel: Kissing in Swimming Pools.

I began writing that book at 15, finished it at 18, and saw it traditionally published at 19 through Boekscout in 2021. That experience taught me a lot—not just about publishing, but about myself. While I was proud to see my work in print, I soon realized that traditional publishing didn’t offer the creative freedom I craved.

So, I took a leap and embraced independent publishing.

Since then, I’ve released three books:
🖋 Kissing in Swimming Pools (2021, traditionally published)
🖋 No Spoons Left (a self-published novella)
🖋 Motion Sickness (2025, my latest and favorite so far)

Writing has always been more than a hobby—it’s the way I make sense of the world. Whether I’m watching a great show, falling into a movie, or simply observing life around me, I’m constantly collecting moments and emotions to pour into my work.

My stories often center around romance, young adult life, and emotional coming-of-age journeys—but I’m also dipping my toes into fantasy (and loving it).

When I’m not writing, you’ll probably find me curled up with a book (my personal library has grown to over 350 titles!), dreaming about new characters, or obsessing over pretty book covers.

Being an author isn’t always glamorous—it’s a lot of hard work, uncertainty, and late-night doubt. But I love it. And I’m going to keep showing up, one story at a time.

Thanks for stopping by. 💛
If you’ve read my work or supported it in any way—thank you. Every reader, review, and share means the world.
